Privacy Policy
Effective: September 14, 2026 / Revised: September 28, 2026
Your ledger records are not sent to the developer.
Records and photos are stored on your device and sync through your own iCloud. The developer cannot access your records in iCloud. The app has no advertising or tracking tools.
1. Information collected by the app
This policy covers the Daicho iPhone app and inquiries sent to its support contact. The app does not send the records or photos in your ledger to a developer-operated server. It uses no developer-added analytics tools or advertising SDKs and does not require account registration. Statistics provided by Apple and information you send to support are explained in sections 6 and 10.
2. Information stored and where
The following records and photos you enter are stored on your iPhone and in the private area of your Apple Account's iCloud, and are synced to your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. The developer cannot see them. If you are not signed in to iCloud, they are stored only on your iPhone. How iCloud handles them is governed by Apple's terms.
- Document names, expiry dates, renewal cycles, renewal costs, storage places, notification lead times, and notes
- Photos you attach, and photos of storage places
Settings such as "Default Lead Time", "Don't Keep Photos", and custom words (words added to storage-place suggestions) are stored on each device and do not sync through iCloud. Each document's "Notification Lead Time" syncs as part of its record.
Photos are redrawn when they are added, so details such as where a photo was taken (location data) are not kept.
This information may be included in your iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer). Backups are handled under Apple's terms.
3. How the app uses iPhone features
- Camera and Photos: used when you attach a photo of a document or storage place. From your photo library, only the photos you pick are added.
- Notifications: expiry reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No developer-operated server is used to deliver them.
- Calendar: tapping "Add to Calendar" opens the iOS screen for adding an event. The app never reads your calendar events. Events you add may be synced to your calendar service, such as iCloud.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your name or payment details.
5. Exporting your data
"Export Data" bundles your records and photos into a single file and hands it to the destination you choose, such as AirDrop or the Files app. Custom words are included too. Because the file contains your records and photos, check where you save it and who you share it with. Each destination handles the file under its own terms.
6. Statistics from Apple
The developer can view aggregated information such as downloads and sales that Apple provides in App Store Connect. Apple may also provide app usage and crash information from users who agree to share diagnostics and usage data. This information is used to understand app usage and fix problems. It does not include the records or photos in your ledger.
You can change diagnostic and usage sharing under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone. See Apple’s privacy policy for how Apple handles information.
7. Ads and tracking
The app shows no ads, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
8. Deleting your data
You can delete each document with "Delete Item" on its detail screen (its photo and notifications are deleted too). It is also deleted from your other synced devices and from iCloud.
To delete everything at once, use "Delete All Data" on the Settings tab. This deletes your documents, storage locations (names and photos), and custom words (words you added to the storage-place suggestions), and removes all scheduled notifications. Documents, locations, and photos are also deleted from your other synced devices and from iCloud. Only this device's custom words are deleted. Your one-time purchase is not affected. Deleting the app alone does not delete records from iCloud. To remove them, delete them within the app and check that the deletion has synced to your other devices. If you want to keep a copy first, use "Export Data".
This action does not delete files already exported, existing device backups, or events already added to your calendar. Manage those copies in the service or location where you saved them.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will announce it on this page and add the revision date below the effective date.
10. Contact
For questions about this policy, please use the contact details on the Support page. Your email address, message, and any attachments you send are used to respond to your inquiry and investigate problems. Please avoid sending document photos or personal information unless needed.
